Import a Building From a VXZ/ZIP File

You can easily import a single building compressed in a VXZ file from the Windows File Explorer using the drag and drop method. The program extracts the compressed file and opens the building.

You can extract and load multiple compressed buildings to the building archive by using the following functions:

  • Select > Import > Import Buildings From VXZ, ZIP Files.
  • Select Archives | Buildings | Import.

Select the folder and the compressed files in the Windows Open dialog box. The program will automatically uncompress the compressed files and create building folders of the same name in the default saving location of buildings.

You can then open each building by selecting > Open Building or Archives | Buildings | Open.

Note:
  • The default saving location is defined in the ../user/SETUP file under the keyword building_ms. The keyword value should be an ms_volume definition.
  • If the compressed file has been renamed, you can choose the name of the building folder created in the building archive. Select either of the following:
    • Use original building name (the original name is displayed inside parentheses).
    • Use VXZ/ZIP file name as building name (the name of the VXZ or ZIP file is displayed inside parentheses).
