Open a Building

Open a building as follows:

  1. Do one of the following:
    • Select > Open Building.
    • Select Archives | Buildings | Open.
    • Press Ctrl+O.
  2. Select the building to open in the browser.

  3. If necessary, select the version you want to open.
  4. If necessary, select the active drawing-model pair.

The drawing file of the drawing-model pair is opened in the drawing window and the model file in the model window. You can change the active working window by clicking the button in the top left corner of the working window

or by pressing the F2 key.

Note:
  • If a building is already open, the program will automatically close it. The building can be saved before it is closed, see Close a Building.
  • When you have opened a building, you can restore a previous save by using the Archives | Buildings | Open > Select Save.
  • When you open a password protected building, you will be prompted "Note! Saving the opened building requires a password".
