Set Attributes of an Element

Use this function to add a connection line or an attribute indicating the voltage level of a symbol.

Connection mode attribute

Connection mode attribute of connection line determines, into which wiring document the connection line is entered. The entering is carried out as follows:

  • An internal wiring is entered in the wiring database and wiring references.
  • A cabled wiring is entered in the cable database.
  • Non-documented wiring is not entered anywhere.

When adding a connection line, you can select as a connection type of the connection line Internal wiring, Cable wiring or Not to documents. Select a suitable option from the Connection type list on the contextual toolbar. When adding a connection line, Internal wiring is selected as a default.

Set an attribute as follows:

  1. On the tab, in the Part Number group, click Attributes of Elements.
  2. Select Connection mode for wires from the Attribute list.
  3. Select the attribute's value from the Value list.
  4. Select OK.
  5. Choose the element selection method from the additional menu.

  6. Select connection lines which an attribute will be added to.
  7. Select Confirm.

Voltage level attribute

  1. On the tab, in the Part Number group, click Attributes of Elements.
  2. Select Voltage level from the Attribute list.
  3. Select the attribute's value from the Value list or type a value.
  4. If you want to remove the voltage level attribute from the selected symbols that already have it, select the check box Delete.
  5. Select OK. The program marks those symbols that already have an attribute according to the selected voltage level.
  6. Choose the element selection method from the additional menu.

  7. Select symbols to which an attribute is to be added, or from which it is to be removed.
  8. Select Confirm.
