Add a Perpendicular Constraint

Set two lines perpendicular to each other. Select the element from the the both parts, select the face or the line to define the constraint.

  1. On the tab, in the Constraints group, select Add perpendicular constraint.
  2. Click the first part.
  3. Select the appropriate face or line on the first part.
  4. Click the second part.
  5. Select the appropriate face or line on the second part. The parts will be positioned in accordance with the constraint.
  6. Select Confirm.
Note:
  • You can define a constraint as configuration-specific by selecting the constraint and then selecting the context-sensitive menu function Edit.

  • You can also use the function in the way of by first select the two parts and then select the context-sensitive function Perpendicular. Select the second part Ctrl+right mouse button.
  • Zoom the part view by the Z key to select an element. Zoom all by pressing the A key.
  • Move a part by moving the cursor onto a part, then moving the mouse while holding down the left mouse button.
