Define a Surface Symbol
Define the surface symbol data in the dialog box. The properties defined in the dialog box are displayed in the symbol preview.
Dialog Box Options
- Applies to all surfaces
- The circle is added to a symbol to symbolize the property, when the checkbox is selected. This property can also be selected for an old symbol.
- General Symbol
- Check the box if you want to add a general surface symbol. The default general surface symbol applies to those surfaces that do not have a symbol in the drawing.
- Machining Type
- Defines the surface machining method for the symbol. Select from the list.
- Scratch mark
- Defines the label indicating the direction of scratch marks. Select the label from the list.
- Surface roughness and Min, Max
- Define the maximum and minimum values for a surface roughness. First, select the surface roughness type, and then the value from a list. You can also edit a value in the field.
- Method
- Enter the method in the field, for example Polished.
- Tolerance
- Enter a tolerance value in the field.
- Old standard
- The software uses the standard ISO 1302 as a default. Select the checkbox if you want to use an older standard.
- Dimension
- Enter the period of measurement if you use the old standard. Select the length from the list or edit the value in the field.
