Common Numbering
New documents can be automatically numbered. Each new document will be assigned the next free number regardless of whether it is a 2D or 3D file, part or assembly, a 2D drawing of a model, or a self-drafted drawing.
Document numbering is defined in the d_PICNO Vertex database. Fill in the initial number and, if necessary, the prefix in the database.
For example, the d_PICNO Vertex database contains the prefix A and initial number 20400. Document numbering will proceed as follows:
- New assembly model - A20401
- First drawing of the model - A20402
- Second drawing of the model - A20403
- Third drawing of the model - A20404
- Self-drafted 2D drawing - A20405
- New part model - A20406
- Model drawing - A20407
Setup - Common numbering
- Open the Vertex directory System/autom_macros/Document_numbering_sample2 in Windows Explorer.
- Also familiarize yourself with the operational description (txt file).
- Copy the following files into the ../vxg4_srv/Custom/macros folder.
- def_mod_id - Common numbering, model.
- def_pic_id - Common numbering, drawing.
If the Custom folder does not exist in the file system, paste the file into the folder Shared/macros.
- Copy the following files into the ../vxg4_srv/Shared/dbases folder.
