Searching Lines in a Model
Piping Design
Use the Isometrics function to view a particular line in the assembly model. This is useful, for example, if you wish to indicate a particular pipeline or duct line in a model or select a line.
- On the tab, in the Drawings group, select Isometrics of selected positions.
- Select the line position you would like to view.
- View the selected line position with the following dialog box buttons:
- Markings ON - The line in the assembly model is highlighted with a color.
- Markings OFF - Restores the line's default color.
- Limits++ - The button limits a smaller area of the model with each click. The outer limits are defined according to the extreme dimensions of the line. Try clicking the button a number of times.
- Markings OFF - Restores the original model limits.
- Zoom 3D - You can rotate and zoom the model to a desired view. Confirm by selecting Confirm.
- Select either of the following in a dialog box:
- Cancel - If you selected Markings ON for the line position, the line is selected in the assembly model.
You can use context-sensitive functions on the line. For example, you can change a line position by selecting Piping Design> Set Line Position.
- OK - Runs isometrics from the selected line position. Isometrics
- Cancel - If you selected Markings ON for the line position, the line is selected in the assembly model.
