Delete a Pipe Component
Delete a pipe component and the geometric constraint associated with it from an assembly. The software confirms connecting pipes, if all the parts to be removed are pipe components and locate on the same piping line between two similar straight pipe items.
Note:
- If you delete a set pipe branch, the software removes also the set-on automatically.
- Select components to be deleted as follows:
- Select a pipe component from the model.
- Select a segment of a bent pipe.
- Select one or more pipe components from the assembly tree or the model by holding down Ctrl and clicking with the left mouse button.
- Select one or more segments of a bent pipe from the assembly tree or the model by holding down Ctrl and clicking with the left mouse button.
- Select all segments of a bent pipe by using area selection or by clicking in the assembly tree.
- Do either of the following:
- Select the Delete function.
- Press the Delete key.
Note:
- If you click a bent pipe in an assembly model by pressing Alt+left mouse button, the bent pipe becomes selected.
- Area selection in an assembly model.
- Move the cursor to the upper or lower left corner of the area and press down the left mouse button.
- Drag to the right with the mouse.
- Release the mouse button.
The elements that are within the area entirely will be selected.
- You can add components to and remove components from the selection as follows:
- You can add a new area to the selection by pressing the Ctrl key and selecting an area as above.
- You can remove or add individual components by pressing Ctrl and clicking the left mouse button over a pipe.
- Complement the missing component of a line of piping by adding a pipeline between handles.
- You can combine two separate pipes with a bend into one by ending the routing of one pipe at the end of the other.
