Profile features are saved as assembly features.

  • Before saving, create table IDs for the feature used to choose size when adding an assembly feature.
  • In a parts list, the table ID will be displayed as the profile part data, and if none are found, the name specified when the feature was saved is displayed as the parts list data.

Save a profile feature as follows:

  1. When the cross section of the profile is ready, create table IDs defining the size of the feature.
    • Select the part label in the feature tree and then select Dimension Table.
    • Create new table IDs with different variable values.
    • If you intend to modify the size of the feature only with table IDs, select the Selected Variable Values Only from List checkbox in the dialog box. If you leave the checkbox empty, the variable values can be freely edited when the feature is added.
  2. Select the context-sensitive function Save To Library> As Profile.
  3. If necessary, create a folder for the new features in the Shared/proflibrary folder.
  4. Name the profile feature.
  5. Click the Save button.
