Use Your Own Photographs As Background Images in Visualization
Rendering
You can set any photograph on your hard drive as the background of a rendered model. First select a photograph included in the basic software delivery and then change the image file name and path to point to the desired photograph.
Set the photograph as the background image of a model, described here, if you don't want to save the background photograph to the visualization background library.
- On the tab, in the Environment group, click Background.
- Go to the folder Misc/Backgrounds/Photos.
- Double-click any thumbnail image in the folder.
- Open the Rendering branch in the feature tree of the part or in the assembly tree.
- Select the Background you added.
- Select the context-sensitive function Edit Values. The Edit Background dialog box is opened.
- Click File name and select the image file you wish to use.
- Select OK.
- On the tab, in the Render Style group, select Rendered, or press Shift+P. Your photograph is displayed as a background image of the 3D model in the rendered mode.
Please note that the new background photograph is not yet saved to the visualization background library.
Note:
- If you wish to save a photograph as a background image to the visualization background library, see Adding Your Own Photograph Background to the Library.
