Trim Area Edges
You can connect the edges of multi-shaped planes to each other. You can combine edges in a ceiling with planes inclined in different directions, for example.
- Select Modeling | Connection | Joint Plane Structure Trim Area Edges.
- Select the connection type from the auxiliary menu:
- Basic connection types
- Trim edges by top plane
- Trim edges by bottom plane
- Inclined joint by top plane
- Inclined joint by bottom plane
- Trim edges by top and bottom plane
- Lap joint
- Cruciform joint
- Bottom plane joint
- Trim edge with plane
- Bottom plane joint
- Trim edge to edge
- Bevel edge with plane
- Mansard roof hip overhang
- Basic connection types
- If necessary, select the function for editing parameters.
- Select a structure and a layer, if necessary.
- Select an edge by clicking its grip point.
- Select another structure and a layer, if necessary.
- Select an edge by clicking its grip point.
- If you selected the Trim edge with plane connection type, select the surface, which the edge is trimmed to.
Note:
- You can form a default connection by selecting a function from the context-sensitive menu. See Connect to Another Edge.
- The formed connection can be removed with the function Disconnect Edge.
