Add a Special Roof

1. Open the Modeling | Floor, Roof | Roof menu.
2. Select one of the following:
   • Triangle
   • Turret
   • L Shaped
   • Bay 1
   • Bay 2
   • Bay 3
   • Bay 4
3. Define the directions of the gable and slopes by selecting 2 to 4 corner points. The order of selecting these points is illustrated in a sample drawing, which opens after you have selected the function.

4. Select the slope S1 parameters in the Roof Parameters dialog box. Select one of the radio buttons and then select the parameters accordant with the structure.
   • Trusses - Parameters
   • Rafters - Parameters
   • Attic - Parameters
   • None (undefined structure) - Parameters
5. Confirm by clicking OK.
6. Select the parameters for the S2 slope of a half hip roof in the same way, and confirm by clicking OK.
7. Quit by pressing the Esc key.

Note

• If you have selected the roof parameters already when adding the eave line, the program adds the roof immediately after you have selected the points defining the roof.
• When you select the roof type Bay Window Roof 4, select the parameters of the side slopes first. After that, the Roof Parameters dialog box opens again, and you can select the parameters of the end slope.
