Edit Panel Properties

Framer

By editing panel properties, you can add and delete layers, change the framing tool of a layer or edit its parameters. The tool determines the design rules based on which parts (such as studs, rafters and sheets) are added to the layer. After editing or changing the tool, regenerate the panel parts and update the panel drawing.

  1. Select one or more panels of the same type in the framing model or in the object tree.
  2. Right-click to open the context-sensitive menu, and select Properties.
  3. Edit the properties in a dialog box.

  4. Confirm by clicking OK.

Then, regenerate the panel parts and update the panel drawing. The program prompts you to update the panel drawing when you open the drawing.

Note

  • You can edit panel properties after creating the panel breaks.
  • Before creating the panel breaks, you can edit the wall framing tool parameters by editing the properties of the wall.
  • If the selected panels do not match, the following error message will be displayed: "Layers have different framing tools. Differences in layers detected. Cannot edit properties."
