Generate Wall Panel Breaks

Generate the panel breaks and wall panel geometry as follows:
- Select Modeling | Panel | Wall > Generate Panels. The Wall Panel Settings dialog box opens.
- Select the structural layers, corner overlap type, label, viewing direction of the panel, and possible panel break settings to be included in the wall panel in the dialog box.
- You can use the wall type to limit the selected walls. Select Selection Filter from the tool strip, and choose the wall types in the dialog box.

- Walls, Exterior
- Select the wall or walls. Select all walls of the same type by pressing Ctrl+A.
- Select Confirm.
- Quit by pressing the Esc key.
Note:
- The numbering is affected by the wall type, the selection method of the walls, and the division of the walls into one or more panels. See Wall Panel Numbering.
- If you do not wish to use the default wall panel breaks, you can select the break points in the floor plan drawing individually. See Determining the Wall Panel Length.
- Before regenerating the panel breaks, delete all the existing wall panels. See Delete a Panel.
- You can also select a context-sensitive function:
- Select the walls.
- Do either of the following:
- Select Wall | Panel | Generate Panels.
- Right-click to open the context-sensitive menu, and select Generate Panels.
- You can renumber the panels using the function in the Floor and Roof Panels menu, see Renumbering Panels.
- You can edit the shape of a wall panel or structural layers in the model before generating parts.
- You can also edit wall panels using the functions in the Floors and Ceilings menu.
- You can set a default value for the distance of a wall panel label from the wall in the system settings. See Panel Label Offset From Wall In the Floor Plan.
