Dimension Points to be Added to a Window or Door Model

You can add dimension points to the 3D model of a window or a door for the automatic dimensioning of an opening sheet. Add the dimension points with the 3D modeler and name them as follows:

• The IDs of the frame dimension points are of the form CN, where N is a running sequential number.

  

• The IDs of the dimension points for horizontal grille parts are of the form GHN, where N is a running sequential number.

  

• The IDs of the dimension points for vertical grille parts are of the form GVN, where N is a running sequential number.

  

You can add a dimension point, for example as follows:

1. Select a part.
2. Select a point.
3. Right-click to open the context-sensitive menu.
4. Select Named Elements> Add Dimension.
5. Type a label in the text box.
