Move Everything

When you add a reference drawing to a floor plan, it may be positioned far away from the absolute origin, depending on the origin point of the reference drawing itself, and how you specify the location of the reference drawing in the floor plan. In such a case, the building model based on the reference drawing is also positioned far away from the origin. When the distance from the origin exceeds a certain limit value, managing the building model becomes difficult.

You can move the entire building and position it to the origin as follows:

  1. Select Modeling | Tools Move Everything.
  2. Select a reference point which will be located to the origin.
  3. Click the origin as the new location.

In the floor plan, you can click the origin, if it is displayed. You can enter the coordinates of the origin from the keyboard in both the floor plan and the model:

  1. Press the number key 0 to open the Coordinates Input dialog box. In this case, the X coordinate is 0. You can leave the other coordinate fields empty (same as 0).
  2. Select Model origin as the reference point (Measure from).
  3. Confirm by clicking OK.
