Keywords Connected with Clipping with the Roof

The LOGHOUSE setup file may contain the following keywords connected with clipping with the roof.

roof_clip_offset
The roof clipping offset. The keyword value is used only when the clipping offset is not defined in the Roof parameters.
The clipping offset defined by the keyword is displayed in the log work drawing. In the model, the logs are clipped by the bottom surface of the roof regardless of the keyword value.

wedge_height
The cutting point of the wedge-shaped end of a log clipped with the roof in the end wall. The cutting point can be defined in the following ways:
  • wedge_height= NMaterial thickness at the clipping point (mm), for example wedge_height= 30
  • wedge_height= N%Material thickness at the clipping point as a percentage of the log riser. For example, wedge_height= 50%
  • wedge_height= N HORIZN is the horizontal cutting distance from the intersection point of the roof and the log end, for example wedge_height= 20 HORIZ cuts a 20 mm piece from the sharp end.
