Connect a Panel to a Wall

Framer

A wall panel is always connected to the wall from which it is formed. When you copy a wall to another floor or by using the clipboard to another building, the wall panel connected to the wall is also copied along with the wall. Or, if you copy a wall panel to another floor or building that already has a similar wall in the corresponding location to the one from which the panel was created, the panel is connected to this wall.

A situation where the wall panel does not connect to the wall can arise, for example, as follows:

You copy the wall panel to another floor without the wall from which the panel was created, and you copy the wall to the floor in question only after that. The panel is not automatically connected to the wall.

In this case, you can connect the panel to the wall as follows:

  1. Select a wall.
  2. Select Wall | Panel | Generate Panels > Connect Panel.
  3. Select a wall panel. You can select several panels with the Ctrl key pressed down.
  4. Select Confirm.

If the panel you selected does not completely correspond to the wall in its position or geometry, you will be prompted:" Geometrically suspicious selection done. Connect selected panels to wall?" Select Yes or No.

Note: The same function allows you to disconnect the wall panel from the wall.
