Release a Building on the DesignStream System

You can release a building you checked out from the DesignStream system without checking in the changes you made. The building is released on the server and another user can check out the building. The building can remain in your local building archive.

1. If necessary, save the building in either of the following ways:
   • Select > Save Building.
   • Press Ctrl+S.
2. Select > Close Building. The Close Building dialog box opens.
3. Select the Uncheck Building from DesignStream radio button. You will be prompted: "Do you want to delete building and building folder from the local archive?"
4. Select either of the following:
   • Yes - The building is deleted from the local building archive. You can reopen the building by checking it out from the server.

   • No - The building remains in the local building archive. If no other user has checked out the building from the server, you can check out the building again for yourself by opening it from the local archive.

5. Click the Close button.

The building is released on the server and another user can check out the building. Any changes you made will not be checked in on the server.
