Check-In to DesignStream
DesignStream Interface
The dialog box opens in the following cases:
- When you are exporting a new building to the DesignStream system.
- When you are checking in an edited building to the DesignStream system.
Dialog Box Options
- Check-In
- When you are checking in an edited building to the DesignStream system, select the check-in method:
- Check-In details
- Using this feature requires that the DesignStream detail library is available. If you have added details from the DesignStream detail library to the building and have ticked the checkbox while checking in the building to DesignStream, the detail cards of the details in question will be linked to the building. The building metadata shows the connection to a detail card, and the detail card shows a connection to the building.
- Update the Component List
- Collect the building component quantity data and export it to the DesignStream system for estimating and quantity surveying. The quantity data is based on the building component typing: each building component has a type. The Finnish Talo 2000 classification system was taken into account in defining the types. The quantity data is exported from the Vertex BD software in XML format, to the components.xml file. In the DesignStream system, the quantity data is converted to the product structure using filters. Handling quantity data requires the Quantity Surveying or the Estimating add-on option in the DesignStream system.
- Check-In Sub Models
- If you have used sub models in the design, you can check them in to the DesignStream system together with the main model. The sub models are linked to the main model, and they will be shown in the building’s structure tree in the DesignStream system.
- Publish Documents
- If the Publisher add-on option is available to you, you can select which building documents you wish to publish in the DesignStream system.
