Share the Main Model

Create a shared model of an open building as follows:

1. Open the building's document browser.
2. Select the building id.
3. Right-click to open the context-sensitive menu.
4. Select Share Master Model. The Save Building As dialog box opens.
5. Do one of the following:
   • Type an ID for the shared model in the Building id field. Enter the shared model an ID in such a way that it is easy to determine from which main model the shared model was made. The label can be a maximum of a 13-character long alphanumeric string. In the label, the following characters are allowed:
     • letters: a-z, A-Z
     • numbers from 0-9
     • special characters: underscore (_)
   • If you are using the Vertex DesignStream product, and you are logged into the DesignStream system, you can pick an ID for the new building from the DesignStream system or enter the desired ID.

6. You can type a descriptive name for the building in the Name field. The name is not obligatory.
7. Select a saving location for the building from the Store In list.
8. You can update the changes made to the default layer scheme in the building by selecting Update Layer Scheme.
9. Confirm by clicking OK.
10. Save the main model.
