Auxiliary Dimensioning Functions (2D)
When dimensioning, you can select auxiliary functions from the menu which opens by right-clicking. The cursor indicates that auxiliary functions are available.
Selecting the Dimensioning Direction
Select a direction for the dimensioning from the auxiliary function menu. You can select either automatic direction, horizontal, vertical, direction between two points, parallel direction to line or perpendicular direction to a line. The selected dimensioning direction is a default dimensioning direction, until you select an other dimensioning direction or dimensioning function.
Line direction, or perpendicular to line direction
Line direction, or perpendicular to line direction
The default direction is the automatic direction. The direction can be changed during dimensioning.
When adding a chain dimension, baseline dimension and continuous baseline, you can select the line direction or perpendicular to line direction as the dimension direction when adding the first dimension.
Defining the Direction of the Dimension Figure
You can select the direction of the dimension line (default) or the dimension line perpendicular to line as the direction of the dimension figure of the distance dimension.
Direction of distance dimension
Direction of distance dimension
When adding a continuous baseline dimension, you can select the direction of the dimension line perpendicular to line (default) or the dimension line as the direction of the dimension figure.
The direction of off the continuous baseline
The direction of off the continuous baseline
Selecting Custom Dimensioning
When dimensioning a drawing with the Dimensions function, you can select a custom dimensioning. Select a diameter dimensioning or symmetric dimensioning from the additional menu. The default dimensioning is the ordinary dimensioning.
When dimensioning an angle, you can select the parallel angle dimensioning.
Function to Edit a Dimension
You can select a function to edit a dimension from the auxiliary function menu.
When adding a circle or an arc, you can select reference dimension.

Unit of Dimensions
You can select either metric or inch dimensioning. In metric dimensioning, you can change the unit of dimensions to a centimeter or a meter instead of a millimeter.
