Bevel Gear Calculate Program

Calculate program is based on SFS manual 24 (1989) standard to the straingt teeth bevel cone tooth gears. SFS 3391 Geometric values calculation, SFS 5488 Strength Calculation. The software opens the database view, to which can be filled in calculation values. Calculating result is displayed in the data base, which data can be added to a drawing.

  1. In the data bas view, you will see the predefined data, and you can edit, and select the desired cylinder wheel.
  2. Calculating is performed after modification by moving by the Enter button to the next field. The titles of the edited files is shown by the capital letters. Backwards (previous field) by pressing the Shift+Tab.
  3. If there is a marking F5, in this section is performed value selection, or calculation by the F5 button, and the result is in the field.
  4. Check all fields containing F5, otherwise there can be left old values.
  5. Calculate geometric values (View GEAgeom.f.cyl). Set values:
    • module
    • angle of pressure (20°)
    • Tooth width (the program checks the biggest allowed width =Re/3)
    • pitches (z1 smaller than z2)
    • Profiles transition factors (software recommend norm)

      Axis angle (ordinary 90°)
    • setting distance (the software recommend a small value: You can raise)
    • tooth thickness accuracy classes is selected by the F5 button from the opened field (recommendation 7, 8, 9).

The program asks the tolerance position (recommended FH set)

    • Edge tooth hight, rounding, the rounding radius (program calculates values of the norm, which do not need to edit)
  6. Strength calculation pres the F2 key ( view GEAload.f.cyl). Set values:
    • power (kW) (if you set the moment, the power F5 key)
    • number of revolutions(r/min)
    • bearing distance
    • acentric + (gear distance between the bearings)
    • Structure resolve (F5 key)

position of the touch hatch (F5 key)
    • adapter of the axes (tooth circle fitting either wedge or interference)
    • diameter of the axis ( 1. gear for the bending)

Check all fields, in which is F5. This confirm that there is not old values in the fields.

  7. Stop calculating by the Esc key, and then opens the print menu. Select the desired printing basis.
  8. Tooth values is entered on by one, by selecting the desired print base., as an example GEApict.c1, and exit by selecting the Esc key. Position the calculation data in the desired position in the drawing.

Other possibility is to read the text file to the drawing.
