Add Insulation to a Duct Line

Add duct line insulations.

The insulation is added to the assembly model as a separate part.

 

Add insulation.

  1. Select Assembly >  Insulation >  Add duct insulation.
  2. The New Document dialog box opens.
    • The insulation component is automatically named in the Label field.
    • If you wish, you can rename the Insulation part in the Label field.
  3. Select OK.
  4. Select either of the following:
    • If you wish to add a tangential chain of faces by clicking one face only, the search of tangential chain of faces is selected.

    • When you want to select a single surface or several surfaces one by one, disable the snap to tangential line chain before selecting the surfaces.

  5. Select the surface(s) to which you want to add insulation.
  6. Select Confirm.
  7. Enter the insulation thickness in millimeters and select OK.
  8. The New Document dialog box is opened. Do either of the following:
    • Add insulation by clicking OK.
    • Stop adding insulation by clicking Cancel.
