Edit a Pipe Component with the Dimension Table
Piping Design
You can define precise dimensions for a component by editing the size of a pipe or pipe section in the dimension table.
- Do either of the following:
- Double-click the component in the assembly tree or the model.
- Select the component and then select the context-sensitive function Dimension Table.
- Edit the component data in the dimension table.
- Edit the dimensions in a freely editable field.
- If the dimension table has a Click .. button, click the button and define the dimension by clicking it in the model. For example, you can define the length of a pipe or valve by clicking two points.
- The Dimensions Fixed selection will have an effect when you edit a pipeline by dragging a component. Fixed dimensions will not change. Fixing dimensions affects straight pipes and pipe elbows.
Note:
- You can also define geometric constraints between components. For example, add a Distance constraint between the centerlines of pipes.
- Edit the sections of a bent pipe as separate parts.
