Edit the Part Data of a Drawing
General
- This function is only available for independent drawings made by drawing and is not applicable to model drawings.
- This function opens all part data defined in a drawing for editing.
- You can edit and, if necessary, delete data.
- If you delete the data of a part, the part number remains in the drawing.
- You can retrieve an existing item from the item database to the part data.
Edit all Part Data at Once
- Select Drawing | Mechanical | Parts List > Edit All Attribute Databases of Certain Type.
- The program opens the dialog box Material Data and lists all the part data in the drawing in it.
- Edit the material data on the existing rows of the tabs in the dialog box.
- Base data.
- Mass.
- Profile data.

- You can delete unnecessary part data
- Click the row to be deleted.
- Select the context-sensitive function Delete row or press Shift and Delete at the same time to mark the row for deletion.
- You can create a new item by selecting the function New
- The program asks: Use old item as base?
- Answer Yes, if you want to use the item in the component database (in the item database) as a basis.
- Answer No, if you want to create a new item

- If you selected Yes, select the classifications and select the item
- Enter a new code for the item.
- The program opens the dialog box Item Data.
- Fill in the item data.
- Confirm the item data by clicking OK.
- The program adds a new item to the list.
- At the same time, the program completes the component or item database (d_COMPONENTS).
- Select the function Edit, if you want to edit the item data.
- At the same time, the program modifies the item data in the component or item database (d_COMPONENTS).
- The program opens the selected item for editing.
- Edit the data.
- Click OK to accept and save the data.
- Select the function Open Model, if you want to open the model linked to the item.
- This requires that the item of the model has been exported to the component or item database (d_COMPONENTS).
- The functions Link To and Remove Link are not available for independent drawings.
- These functions can be used in 3D assembly models when a library component or profile is added to the model and you want to link it to an item in the item database.
