Collect Materials from the Selected Drawing-Model Pairs

Collect the materials of all objects in the selected drawing-model pairs.

1. Do either of the following:
   • Select Output | Materials | Collect.
   • Select the function in the project's document browser:
     1. Move the cursor over the title Reports.
     2. Right-click to open the context-sensitive menu.
     3. Select Collect Materials.
2. Select the drawing-model pairs and/or additional files from which to collect the materials. An additional file can be a roof layout drawing roof_layout.vxp, for example. From the roof layout, you can collect the eave and ridge lengths in addition to the amount of material, see Roof Layouts.
3. If you have created wall panels, select how to collect the wall framing pieces:
   • Lineal Foot of Walls (rough estimate)
   • Wall Panels (accurate) - Use this option when you want to collect the materials from selected wall panels.

4. Save the material database by closing the window with the OK button.
