Creating an XML Transfer File of Materials

You can create an XML file of the project materials. If you are using the DesignStream Interface add-on option, the file will be transferred into the DesignStream system when the project is checked in. You can utilize the XML file in the DesignStream system in tender calculations, for example.

1. Select Output | Materials | Collect > XML.

   The program will collect all materials in the project in a components.xml file and save the file in the project folder.

2. Save the project by pressing Ctrl+S, and the project document browser is updated. You can open the file for viewing from the document browser. Open the Reports branch in the document browser, and double-click the name of the file. The file is opened in the application associated with the XML file extension.
3. If the DesignStream add-on option is available to you, export the project to the DesignStream system.
