Check in a Project to the DesignStream System
DesignStream Interface
Once you have finished editing a project you have checked out from the DesignStream system, restore the changes to the DesignStream server in the following way:
- Save the project in either of the following ways:
- Select > Save Project.
- Press Ctrl+S.
- Select > Close Project. The Close Project dialog box opens.
- Select the radiobutton Check-In to DesignStream. The Check-in to DesignStream dialog box opens.
- Select the check-in method of the project and the publishing method of the documents in the dialog box.
- Overwrite existing version - When you select this option, the edited project will replace the old one.Note: The project always replaces the latest version regardless of the version that has been opened.
- Create a new version - When you select this option, a new version of the project will be created. The DesignStream system determines the version number. Version numbering can be used to manage the change data and the service life of the project in the DesignStream system.
- Type a description in the Check-In comment field.
- Overwrite existing version - When you select this option, the edited project will replace the old one.
- Confirm by clicking OK.
- Click the Close button.
- If you selected the interactive publishing of documents (the Publisher add-on option), you can select which documents of the project you want to publish in the DesignStream system in the Publisher dialog box.
Click Publish to close the dialog box.
Note:
- The project is compressed into a ZIP file and exported to the DesignStream system. The project will be removed from the local project archive. If the project export is not successful for some reason (for example the network connection is down), the project will not be removed from the local archive.
