Machinings Added to a Log Work Drawing

Log House Work Drawings

Machinings added to a log work drawing are defined in the machining library. You can select the machining library to be used by setting the machining_library keyword in the LOGHOUSE setup file. The default machining library is logmach_system.

machining_library = logmach_system

Machining codes for machining macros that can be added automatically and separately are defined in the machining library. When you open the log work drawing of a wall for the first time, the program will automatically add the machinings defined in the machining library. If necessary, you can add individual machinings to the log work drawing. The machinings are updated every time the log work drawing is opened, when the the keyword upd_machinings= 1 is set in the LOGHOUSE setup file.

In addition to machining macros, cutting notches in openings, ornamental bevels and log types cause machining. Their machining codes are defined in the LOGHOUSE setup file.

Minimum dimensions can be set for machinings either in the machining library or in the LOGHOUSE setup file.

Machining codes defined in the machining library and in the setup file are used when the LOGHOUSE keyword default_mach_codes= 0. You can set the default machining codes defined for the program in use by setting the keyword to default_mach_codes= 1.

Example machinings:
  • Dowel (a)
  • Bolt (B)
  • Spindle groove (C)
