Log Work Drawing Markings

Log House Work Drawings

In addition to the parallel projection of the wall, the program will add a label text, log labels, wall dimensions and machinings to the log work drawing. A log work drawing may also show the opening macros, crossing log walls, crossing profiles, the roof, and the description text and screw-leg of a column.

Scale of the log work drawing window

The default scale of the drawing window is 1:20. You can change the scale with the keyword log_wall_pic_scale in the LOGHOUSE setup file, for example:

log_wall_pic_scale= 25

The scale of the log work drawing window will be 1:25.

You can check the scale of the drawing window in the following way:

  1. When the log work drawing is open and the cursor is active in the working window, right-click to open the context-sensitive menu and select Properties.
  2. Select the tab Drawing Limits in the dialog box. The scale is displayed in the Scale field.

Dimensions

The dimensions and their locations are defined in the LOG_MEAS database.

Floor plan view of the log wall to the log work drawing

You can add a view of the floor plan to the log work drawing in order to display the notches of the connecting walls. Select the floor plan view in use with the keyword in the LOGHOUSE setup file:

layout_to_log_dwg

Machinings

Machinings added to a log work drawing are defined in the machining library or in the LOGHOUSE setup file.

Dimension, line and text properties in a log work drawing

The properties of dimensions, lines and texts added to a log work drawing, such as layer, pencil width, line type, font, color, etc., are defined in the system settings.

Properties of texts and dimensions are defined with the following text names:

Name Explanation
LOGFACE.WALLLBL Wall label
LOGFACE.LOGLBL Log label
LOGFACE.LOGLEN Log length
LOGFACE.MACLBL Macro label
LOGFACE.CWALLLBL Crossing wall label
LOGFACE.MEAS Log work drawing dimensions
LOGFACE.MEASLBL Dimension label text

Properties of lines are defined with the following line names:

Name Explanation
LOGFACE.LINE Roof, crossing walls, etc.
LOG.MARKER Logs, which are longer than the maximum value defined in the length distribution

The properties of lines depicting machinings are defined in an application development program that creates the 2D geometry for machining.
