Restore Default Layer Scheme for the Entire Project

This function is available in the Vertex BDapplication.

A Vertex BD project contains multiple drawings. By using the function Restore Default Layer Selections to Whole Project, you can reload the entire default layer scheme: layer names, visibility of layers and layer groups. In this case, the changes made to the settings of the layer scheme, for example new layer groups, will be updated to all drawings of the project. Please note, that this function also removes the color selections made for the layers.

Select View | Layers | Layers > Restore Default Layer Selections to Whole Project.

The default layer scheme may be either the software supplier’s default layer scheme defined in the system setttings, or a customer-specific default layer scheme saved in a drawing file in the ../custom/setup/layer_templates folder.

Following drawing files will not be updated:

  • Files in the project’s macros folder.
  • Files in the project-specific component library.
  • Files in the project-specific detail archive.
  • If the project is a resolved option model, the files of the orignal option model will not be updated.
Note: If the keyword level_keep = 0 is set in the system settings, the default layer scheme is always loaded in the drawing when it is opened.
