Edit the Default Layer Scheme

Layer numbers and names as well as the visibility and printing of layers are defined in the layer scheme. The software supplier’s default layer scheme is defined in the system settings. You can edit the scheme for your own use. The modified layer scheme is stored in a drawing file in the folder ../custom/setup/layer_templates. The name of the file is “1 Default layer scheme.vxp”. The layer scheme saved in the drawing file replaces the default layer scheme of the software supplier.

  1. Select >  Preferences >  Default Layers.
  2. Edit the layers in the dialog box.

  3. Confirm by clicking OK.
Note: You can restore the software supplier’s default layer scheme by removing the drawings file “1 Default layer scheme.vxp” from the ../custom/setup/layer_templates folder.
