Edit Layer Groups Dialog Box

In the Edit Layer Groups dialog box, you can rename layer groups, add and delete layer groups, select the layers belonging to layer groups and define a layer group as a favorite. Open the dialog box by clicking the Layer groups button in the Edit Layers/Default Layers dialog box.

Favorite
Define a layer group as a favorite layer group by clicking the Favorite column in front of the layer group name. You can identify the favorite layer groups by the symbol.
Layer groups
Add a new layer group by selecting either Create New Layer Group or Create New Layer Group from Visible Layers from the right-click menu.
You can also select an existing layer group, and Copy from the right-click menu.
Enter a name for the layer group, and select the layers belonging to the group.
You can edit the name of the layer group by clicking the field.
You can organize the layer groups by selecting a layer group, and Move Up or Move Down from the right-click menu.
Delete a layer group by selecting Delete from the right-click menu.
For the basic geometric elements (lines, texts, dimensions, hatches), you can define a default layer on which they are added, when a layer group has been activated. Select the layer group, and Properties from the right-click menu. Select the default layer for each element from the list. When you activate the layer group in a drawing and start adding an element, it will be added on the layer you selected. The default layers only work when you select the layer group from the Favorite Layer Groups list on the tool strip.
Note: The default layer selected for the element will remain in effect until you select another layer from the element’s properties, or select another layer group for which default layers for elements have been defined.
