Add a Smart Model to the the Main Model

Add a smart model to an open the main model as follows:

  1. Select Modeling | Zone | Sub Model > Smart Model.
  2. Select the building in the browser.

  3. As a default, the origin point of the smart model will be used as the reference point. Before positioning the model, you can use the functions in the auxiliary menu to rotate or mirror the model, or change the locating point, for example. The auxiliary functions are the same as when adding a sub model.

  4. Select the location of the smart model.
Note: You can add any building in the archive as a smart model. So you can also add a building that is not saved as a smart model. You can update the changes made to the building by another user to the main model. You can also edit building objects in the main model, but you cannot save these changes to the building.
