Planar Face Normal as a Sweep Direction

Define the planar face normal as the direction of the sweep. You need to define the sweep direction when a point has been selected as the position of the cross section.

  1. Select planar face as the sweep direction clicking the following button:

  2. Do one of the following:
    • Select a planar face from the model.
    • Select the context-sensitive menu function X axis direction.
    • Select the context-sensitive menu function Y axis direction.
    • Select the context-sensitive menu function Z axis direction.
Note:
  • Instead of clicking the button, press the N key when the cursor is over the planar face.
  • You can also select the axis direction using the following keys:
    • U - direction of the X axis.
    • I - direction of the Y axis.
    • O - direction of the Z axis.
