Profile Overlay

Overlay a profile with another profile in a drawing. You can select whether the overlaid section of the profiles is hidden or represented with dashed lines. Overlaying lines that are hidden are moved to their own, hidden layer. Overlaid profiles remain complete in the database even though they appear to be cut.

1. On the tab, in the Mechanical group, select Profile, and select Profile overlay.
2. Choose whether or not the overlay is represented with dashed lines.
3. Select the profile to be overlaid by pointing the profile's end line.
4. Select the overlaying profile.
5. Select Confirm.
