Equipment Position

Add an equipment position to a pipe component either during the line routing or after adding the component.

Adding an Equipment Position

Add an equipment position when adding a component. Select tab > Positions group > Equipment position.

Or

When you have added a pipe component, add an equipment position for the component.

1. Select a pipe component from the model.
2. Click Item data. Edit the part's data.
3. Supplement the component data in the dialog box.
   • Enter a value in the Equipment Position field.
   • Fill in the rest of the required data.
4. Select OK.

Finding an Equipment Position in a Model

Find equipment and pipe positions in an assembly model.

Specify a search.

1. Select Plant> Equipment Positions.
2. Select one of the following:
   • Find Equipment Position
     1. Select the position from the list.
     2. If you wish to view the equipment position in the assembly model, click Markings ON.
     3. Select OK.
   • Zoom Equipment Position
     1. Select the position from the list.
     2. Select OK.
   • Limit Equipment Position
     1. Select the position from the list.
     2. A dialog box for limiting the position is opened, where you can set the limits of the area along the X, Y and Z axes.
     3. Click Set Limits.
   • Select and Limit Position
     1. Indicate a point for limiting the position.
     2. Define the area limits along the X, Y and Z axes. Click Set Limits.
     3. You can expand the limits by entering a value.
     4. Rotate the model to a new projection and click Change Projection.
     5. Select OK.
   • Edit 3D Limits
   • Delete 3D Limits

Functions of the View Menu Bar

You can also select some functions from the View menu bar.

1. On the tab, in the Limiting group, click Set Limiting.
   • Select and Limit Position See above.
   • Edit 3D Limits
   • Delete 3D Limits
