Sketch Plane
Add to the 3D sketch sketching planes you position by the geometric constraints. With a sketch plane you can specify a working plane to which geometry can be added with the line drawing function.
Add the Sketching Plane
- Select 3D Sketch | Line Tools | Sketch Plane.
- Edit the plane's size and other properties, if necessary.
- Select Properties.
- Edit the data in the Edit plane dialog box.
- If necessary, change the plane's reference point.
- Select Select reference point.
- Click the reference the point in the opened window.
- Rotate the plane around the main axes, if necessary.
- Select the rotation step by selecting 90°, 15° or by entering another angle.
- Select Rotate around X-/Y-/Z-axis.
- Select the plane's position.
- You can set the sketch plane as a working plane to which you can add geometry with the line drawing functions.
You can use the function Sketch Feature, together with sketch planes, so that the feature is automatically targeted to the sketching face lines automatically, if the sketching plane is selected when the function is selected.
