Open a Backup Copy

General

• The function opens files found in the BACKUP folder of the user's home directory (user), but you can also browse manually saved workfile* files or automatically saved safe* files in the home directory.
• The backup file is created each time you save a drawing or model.

• The workfile* and safe* files are old backup methods and are probably of little importance today.
  • The workfile file must be saved manually. See Save a Backup Copy.
  • The safe file will be created automatically periodically. See Automatic Saving of Safe Files.

Open a Backup Copy

1. Select File > Backup Copy > Open Backup File.
   • The program opens the folder ../user/BACKUP and lists the files in it
2. If necessary, you can change the look in folder to the user folder and search for workfile* and safe* files there
3. Open the document in the working window by double-clicking the document file.
