Edit Model/Drawing Archive Data
General
- You can edit the archive data of a model or drawing on the desktop by using the function Archives | Documents | Data.
- You can use the following procedure to browse and edit the data of all documents in the archive.
- Only when you open and update a drawing will the archive data in the drawings update.
Browse and edit document archive data
- Select the archive to be edited:
- Select Archives | Documents | Maintenance > Edit Model Archive Data, if you want to edit the archive data of models.
- Select Archives | Documents | Maintenance > Editing Drawing Archive Data, if you want to edit the archive data of drawings.
- The program opens the dialog box Search Data.
- Enter the search data, if necessary.
- If you do not enter any search criteria, the program will display the data of all files in that archive.
- You can use the wildcard character * (asterisk) or ? (question mark), if you want to search for documents that contain a desired string and other characters (*) or a single other character (?).
- Click OK to accept the search criteria.
- The program displays the card of the first document that meets the search criteria.
- If the search returns more than one documents, you can browse the data as follows:
- Use the up and down arrow keys or
- Use the scroll bar on the right side.
- You can also search for an archive card to be edited:
- Move the cursor to the field you want to search for data.
- Press the function key F7.
- Enter the string you want to search for.
- Select Search (F3) or press the function key F3.
- If you want to browse the archive in a list format, select Browse Database as a List in the top left of the dialog box.
- The program displays the archive cards in a list format.
- Select the row you wish to edit.
- Select the card corresponding to the row to edit by double-clicking it or click OK.
- Edit the document archive data, if necessary
- Confirm the changes by clicking OK.
