Edit Model/Drawing Archive Data

General

• You can edit the archive data of a model or drawing on the desktop by using the function Archives | Documents | Data.
• You can use the following procedure to browse and edit the data of all documents in the archive.
• Only when you open and update a drawing will the archive data in the drawings update.

Browse and edit document archive data

1. Select the archive to be edited:
   • Select Archives | Documents | Maintenance > Edit Model Archive Data, if you want to edit the archive data of models.
   • Select Archives | Documents | Maintenance > Editing Drawing Archive Data, if you want to edit the archive data of drawings.
   • The program opens the dialog box Search Data.
2. Enter the search data, if necessary.
   • If you do not enter any search criteria, the program will display the data of all files in that archive.
   • You can use the wildcard character * (asterisk) or ? (question mark), if you want to search for documents that contain a desired string and other characters (*) or a single other character (?).
3. Click OK to accept the search criteria.
   • The program displays the card of the first document that meets the search criteria.
4. If the search returns more than one documents, you can browse the data as follows:
   • Use the up and down arrow keys or
   • Use the scroll bar on the right side.
   • You can also search for an archive card to be edited:
     1. Move the cursor to the field you want to search for data.
     2. Press the function key F7.
     3. Enter the string you want to search for.
     4. Select Search (F3) or press the function key F3.
5. If you want to browse the archive in a list format, select Browse Database as a List in the top left of the dialog box.
   • The program displays the archive cards in a list format.
   • Select the row you wish to edit.
   • Select the card corresponding to the row to edit by double-clicking it or click OK.
6. Edit the document archive data, if necessary
7. Confirm the changes by clicking OK.
