Connect Pipes

Piping Design

Connect pipe ends together. The software confirms merging also if you remove a pipe components from a pipe line. The software confirms connecting pipes, if all the parts to be removed are pipe components and locate on the same piping line between two similar straight pipe items.

Do as follows:

Vertex G4 and G4Plant:

Select the pipes to be merged.
One the tab, in the Tools group, select Merge, or in the context-sensitive menu, select Pipe system > Merge pipes.

Vertex G4 Plant:

On the tab, in the Piping group, select Pipe and Merge pipes.
Select the pipes to be merged.

Note:

The pipes to be merged must have same item name and concentric center lines.
The pipes to be merged can be unattached, overlap each other or attached to each other with a pipe seam (a handle linkage).
In addition to combining two straight separate pipes, you can merge also a separate pipe and a bended pipe or two bended pipes together.
