Geometric Constraint for a Configuration in a Assembly

You can add a geometric constraint to be used in an assembly:

  • Only for a specific configuration.
  • For all configurations of the assembly.

This allows the creation, for example, of two configurations of an assembly in which a part is in two different positions.

  1. Activate a configuration.
  2. Add a geometric constraint between the parts.
  3. Select the geometric constraint of the part from the assembly tree.
  4. Select the context-sensitive function Properties.
  5. Do either of the following:
    • Accept the Use in All Configurations option (default).
    • Select Use in Configuration n, where n is the number of the active configuration. You can select one or more configurations, where the constraint is in effect.
  6. Save the assembly.
  7. You can check that the hiding status has been saved by activating different configurations.
