Edit a Part Pattern
General
- When a pattern has been positioned as a new pattern, you can edit its data in the dialog box.
- You can edit a pattern by editing the auxiliary part of the pattern.
- If the pattern has been created associatively to the feature pattern of a part, you can modify it only by editing the feature pattern of the part.
- If the pattern has been created associatively to another part pattern of an assembly, you can modify it only by editing the part pattern that acts as a reference.
- When you edit a part pattern that acts as a reference, the associative pattern changes to match the reference pattern.
Edit a pattern
- Select the pattern for editing
- Select Pattern in the assembly tree and then select the context-sensitive function Edit or
- Double-click Pattern in the assembly tree.
- The program opens the dialog box Pattern Data if the pattern is an independent pattern or if it is based on another independent part pattern in the same model.
- If the part pattern is based on the feature pattern of the part, the program prompts: “Pattern is guided by feature pattern. Edit feature pattern” and after that, shows the pattern data.
- Edit the pattern data in the dialog box.
- Edit the pattern data Number, Delta or Length etc. depending on the pattern type.
- Restore deleted components in the Deleted field, or delete more pattern members by entering the address of the part to be deleted in parentheses.
- Select OK.
