Deleting a Component Using a Change Rule

You can delete a component by defining a component change rule as follows:

1. Select Modeling | Tools > Set Up Component Change. The Component Change dialog box opens.
2. Define a new Change Operation or edit an existing one.
3. Define which component is to be changed. Use the component Search Criteria or Classification Search Criteria.
4. Define the component to which the component will be changed. Depending on the type of the component, do one of the following:
   • Click Delete. The selected library and component get the value NONE.
   • Select the NONE option from the Item list.
   The component will not be changed; instead, it is deleted.
5. Confirm by clicking OK.
