Shape a Log Wall End

The basic shape of the wall end is even. You can select an end shape where the logs at the top or bottom of the wall are stretched and their ends are beveled for a wall. Select an end shape from the predefined alternatives. The alternatives are defined in the LOGEXT setup file and are customer-specific.

  1. Select a log wall. Select several walls with the Ctrl key pressed down.
  2. Select Log Wall | Wall End | Set Log Wall End Shape.
  3. Select an end shape in the dialog box. Below is the software supplier's example of the selectable end shapes.

    Both edges

Add end shapes to both the top and bottom of the wall. The number and type of shaping of shaped log ends at the top and bottom is defined in the setup file. The ends of the logs in between are left unchanged.

    Top

Add end shapes to the top of the wall. The number and type of shaping of shaped log ends at the top is defined in the setup file. The ends of the other logs are left unchanged.

    Bottom

Add end shapes to the bottom of the wall. The number and type of shaping of shaped log ends at the bottom is defined in the setup file. The ends of the other logs are left unchanged.

    Basic shape

Restores the wall end to an unmodified shape.

  4. Confirm by clicking OK.

Both ends of the wall will be shaped.

If you want to change the shape of one end only, activate the floor plan drawing, and select the function from the end grip point's context-sensitive menu:

  1. Activate the floor plan drawing.
  2. Select a log wall.
  3. Move the cursor near the end grip point.
  4. Right-click to open the context-sensitive menu.
  5. Select Set Log Wall End Shape.

Note

  • The parts of the log wall displayed in the floor plan are defined using limit heights. If the top or bottom of the wall is outside these limit heights, the changes in the end shapes are not displayed in the floor plan drawing. Select Log Wall Limit Heights.
  • You can restore the wall end to an even basic shape by selecting Basic shape as the end shape.
  • You can edit existing end shapes or add new ones by editing the Logext file.
