Option System

When defining a stretch option, select the option conditions in the Option Condition for Components on Stretch Area dialog box.

Option condition
Select the option to which the stretch will be applied. When you solve the option the program stretches the elements inside the stretch area.
Find the option code from the Options database by clicking the Select button. The Project Options database view opens. Move the cursor on the desired row and click the OK button.

You can use three logical operators to define conditions for the components on the stretch area:
  • And - For example A and B. The components will be stretched if both options A and B are selected when you solve the options.
  • Or - For example A or B. The components will be stretched if option A or option B is selected when you solve the options.
  • Not - For example A and not B. Note the syntax “and not”. The option rule will only be applied if option A is selected and option B is not selected when you solve the options.
Select one of the radio buttons, if necessary, and then select another option from the Options database. The logical operations are performed in the following order: first the Not operation, then the And operations and finally the Or operations.

Type description of the option and its conditions in the text field.
Dx
Enter the offset in the x axis direction. Consider the stretching direction (positive or negative x axis direction). Use a "-" sign, if necessary.
Dy
Enter the offset in the y axis direction. Consider the stretching direction (positive or negative y axis direction). Use a "-" sign, if necessary.
How to stretch floors, ceilings and roofs
If the area to be stretched includes sloping horizontal structures, you can select whether the structure is stretched in the horizontal direction or in the sloping direction. Select either of the following:
  • Stretch in the direction of the slope - Pitch remains unchanged.
d = Dx or Dy
  • Stretch horizontally - Pitch changes.
d = Dx or Dy
If a detailed configuration has been selected for the structure by expanding the layers, the relative positions of the edges will not remain in horizontal stretching.
Stretch in all drawings
When you want to stretch the entire building, select the Stretch in all drawings check box. The system will stretch components on the stretch area in every drawing-model pair of the project.
