Import a Project From a VXZ/ZIP File

You can easily import a single project compressed in a VXZ file from the Windows File Explorer using the drag and drop method. The program extracts the compressed file and opens the project.

You can extract and load multiple compressed projects to the project archive by using the following functions:

  • Select > Import > Import Projects From VXZ, ZIP Files.
  • Select Archives | Buildings | Import.

Select the folder and the compressed files in the Windows Open dialog box. The program will automatically uncompress the compressed files and create project folders of the same name in the default saving location of projects.

You can then open each project by selecting > Open Project or Archives | Buildings | Open.

Note:
  • The default saving location is defined in the ../user/SETUP file under the keyword project_ms. The keyword value should be an ms_volume definition.
  • If the compressed file has been renamed, you can choose the name of the project folder created in the project archive. Select either of the following:
    • Use original project name (the original name is displayed inside parentheses).
    • Use VXZ/ZIP file name as project name (the name of the VXZ or ZIP file is displayed inside parentheses).
