Default Rendering Materials

Rendering

Use a system management function to change the default materials set for the material categories of building component surfaces. You can also add a new category to the custom-specific database.

  1. Select System | Rendering Textures > Rendering Texture Mapping.
  2. Select one of the following:
    • All, Custom Changes Included - This function opens the connected system (system/dbases/d_LWMAP) and customer-specific linking database for editing (custom/dbases/d_LWMAP). The customer-specific changes are presented in the same view with the system information. The changes will only be saved in the customer-specific database.
    • Custom Changes Only - This function opens the customer-specific linking database for editing (custom/dbases/d_LWMAP) for editing. Only customer-specific changes are presented in the database view.
    • System LWMAP Only - This function opens the system's linking database for editing (system/dbases/d_LWMAP) for editing. The changes will not remain when the system is updated.
  3. Do either of the following:
    • Move to the desired material category row.
    • Add a new row in the database. Enter the name of the new category to the Category field and the description to the Description field.
  4. Click the Browse button. The browser is opened. The browser shows the My Library (user's materials) and Vertex Library (software supplier's materials).
  5. Double-click the thumbnail of the desired material.
  6. Confirm by clicking OK.
Note:
  • When you select the function All, Custom Changes Included, the rows that correspond with the system database will be removed from the customer-specific database. After this, the customer-specific database will only include the customer-specific changes with regard to the system.
  • You can update the changes to the model by selecting Rendering | Surface Texture | Restore All.
  • System tab is only available if you are a system administrator.
