Part Configuration

The existing geometry of a part forms its default configuration.

In addition to this, a part may have configurations in which one or more features have been hidden from the part, or more have been modeled, making the visible geometry of the part different from the default configuration.

If a feature is modeled on the configuration, it is displayed as hidden in the default and other configurations. If necessary, the visibility of a feature added like this can be restored in the default and other configurations.

The part geometry contains features that are hidden when configurations are added. The 0:Default Configuration of a part is as follows:

Add two different configurations to the part.

  • First add 1:Flange_Mounting (left), where an (axial) hole is hidden.
  • Add the second configuration, 2:Axial_Mounting (right), where the flange feature group is hidden.

The hiding status of the part is saved in the configuration when the default or other existing configuration is activated.

Note:
  • No limit number of configurations.
